A Package Opening Proof Checklist
The useful Buyer Backup moment starts before the box is fully open: capture the package, the item, and the timeline while the details are still fresh.
Capture the opening path
Start with the outside of the package, shipping label area, seal condition, damaged corners, packing material, and the first view of the item. Photos or video should make the timeline understandable without adding drama or speculation.
Tie evidence to the order
A proof checklist is strongest when order number, seller or marketplace, carrier, delivery time, item name, serial or model when relevant, quantity, and condition notes sit beside the media. The goal is a packet a support rep can review quickly.
Keep the outcome honest
The checklist can make a return, claim, warranty request, or dispute easier to explain, but it cannot guarantee a refund or replace legal, financial, carrier, marketplace, or insurance judgment. The public promise should stay with organization, clarity, and user-controlled export.
